Buck Creek Players and Director Ben Jones and Musical Director Jill Stewart are excited to announce their upcoming production of THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL with Book by Betsy Kelso and Music & Lyrics by David Nehls. There’s a new tenant at Armadillo Acres—and she’s wreaking havoc all over Florida’s most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil–loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband—the storms begin to brew. Buck Creek Players is pleased to conclude our 49th season with this live event on our mainstage. Join us for the eight live in-person performances at the playhouse starting Friday, June 9th and running through Sunday, June 18th. |

CAST BIOGRAPHIES
AMELIA TRYON (Jeannie) is thrilled to be back on stage at Buck Creek Players after her BCP debut in the role of Bridget in LIZZIE BORDEN OF FALL RIVER last summer. She has been seen previously in productions at Edyvean Theatre at CTS, Footlite Musicals, Webster Groves Theatre Guild in St. Louis, MO, and North Central High School. Favorite past roles include Luisa in THE FANTASTICKS, Tzeitel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, and Glinda in THE WIZARD OF OZ. By day, she is the Executive Director of the Indiana Chapter of Multiplying Good, a national service and leadership nonprofit. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, thrifting, swimming with her 9-year-old son, Julian, and binge-watching British crime dramas. She would like to dedicate this performance to her best friends, Jeff, Paula, and Maurice, whose passion, talent, and dedication to the art of theatre always inspired her, and ultimately illuminated her path back to the stage after many years away.

JEREMY TEIPEN (Norbert Garstecki) is proud to make his musical debut with Buck Creek Players. His most recent roles include Phillip Reynolds in PERFECT CRIME, Lewis Green in FAILURE TO ZIG ZAG, and Pontius Pilate in THAT MAN WAS INNOCENT. When not studying feverishly to learn music, dialogue, and choreography, Jeremy works as the Chief Public Defender for the Hancock County Public Defender Office. In his spare time he enjoys tabletop gaming, time with his rescue fur-kids, and rendezvousing with the true Owner of His Heart: his amazing wife, Georgie, with whom he shares two wonderful children, Miranda and Schuyler, as well as an objectively crazy number of dogs. Jeremy is thrilled to once again share the stage with Georgie, and would like to thank her, Miranda and Schuyler for their endless support and love. Jeremy would also like to thank Ben and Francie for allowing him this wonderful opportunity, as well as the entire cast and crew for their humor and encouragement. Enjoy the show!

EMILY MAE GADDY (Pippi) is thrilled to share this hilarious show with you, alongside this stellar cast, crew and staff! She was previously seen on the BCP stage in DISASTER! THE MUSICAL, for which she received the Encore for Best Leading Actress in a Musical. Other performing credits include FUN HOME, 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, DOGFIGHT, DOUBT, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, and ROMEO & JULIET. In addition to her onstage credits, Emily has also served as Vocal Director for several productions including THE WILD PARTY (Encore winner for Best Vocal Direction of a Musical), LITTLE WOMEN and THE BODYGUARD. When she is not at the theatre, Emily can be found planning her next Disney trip, expanding her Disney coffee mug collection, or polishing up her piano skills. Emily hopes you all enjoy the show and sends all of her love to her husband and 3 fur babies.

JOSH ROOKS (Duke) makes his 6th appearance on stage at Buck Creek Players in THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL. This will be Josh’s first musical since high school and he is over the moon to be a part of this electric cast! Some of his favorite past roles include Jeff in THE CURIOUS SAVAGE, Sgt. Lewis in FLY BABIES, Stevie in GOOD PEOPLE, and Rob in THE BOOK CLUB PLAY. Josh was born and raised in Indianapolis and is a graduate of IUPUI. When not on stage, Josh enjoys collecting vinyls, playing his guitars, and hanging out with his friends and family. Josh would like to thank his vocal teacher Markell Pipkins and director Ben Jones for their everlasting support. “Enjoy this hilarious and tender show. Thank you for supporting live theatre!”

CLAIRE SLAVEN (Betty) is so excited to be a part of this hilarious show with such an amazing cast! Previous musicals include A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, SWEENEY TODD and SOMETHING ROTTEN. While this is her first Buck Creek musical, she did play the role of Katherine Hartley in Buck Creek’s production of ROSIE THE RIVETER. Claire would like to thank Ben for believing in her and giving her this amazing opportunity. Enjoy your stay in Stark Florida! It’s gonna be a hot one!

GEORGEANNA TEIPEN (Linoleum) is so excited to be back on the Buck Creek stage in THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL after just having played Hannah Ferguson in THE SPITFIRE GRILL at The Basile Westfield Playhouse. She is particularly thrilled to be in this production as she gets to share the stage with some wonderful friends and her husband, Jeremy. Georgie, as her friends call her, has been seen in many local performances and feels very blessed to be able to continue participating in her favorite extracurricular activity. In her professional life, Georgie serves the citizens of Shelby County as the county’s Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes Deputy Prosecutor. This one is for Jeremy----I love you with all my heart. Thank you for always supporting my love of performing and this time we can share this passion and time together!!!! xoxoxoxoxo!

CLAIRE GRAY (Pickles) is making her debut at Buck Creek Players! She is more than thrilled to be a part of this trailer park family and loves all who has been involved. She has just graduated from Mt. Vernon High School where she recently played Paulette in LEAGALLY BLONDE and Rosie in MAMMA MIA! She plans on attending Ball State next fall. Enjoy the show!!

CATHY CUTSHALL (Producer) is thrilled to be a part of the team bringing BCP’s final production of our 49th season! Cathy has had the pleasure of directing LITTLE WOMEN, The Broadway Musical, MIRACLE ON 34th STREET: A LIVE MUSICAL RADIO PLAY, TRAP!, MAKING GOD LAUGH, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, A LIVE RADIO PLAY (2017 and 2021), and BANANAS at Buck Creek Players, as well as ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST at Shelby County Players. Cathy is also an Encore winner for best costumes for DIRTY BLONDE, BONNIE & CLYDE THE MUSICAL, FOUR OLD BROADS and FLY BABIES. Whether working as a director or costumer, on stage or behind-the-scenes, she has had the pleasure of working in theaters throughout Indiana and New Mexico at Albuquerque Civic Light Opera Association, and Albuquerque Little Theater. Favorite productions include SWEENEY TODD, PARADE, HONK!, CHICAGO, CITY OF ANGELS, ON THE TOWN, HELLO DOLLY, ANYTHING GOES, SINGING IN THE RAIN, SHENANDOAH, THE WIZARD OF OZ, SOUTH PACIFIC, AND GYPSY. In her free time Cathy enjoys reading, sewing, antique shopping, and spending time with family. Up next, Cathy will be stepping on stage for BCP’s first production of our 50th Season, SORDID LIVES. “I’d like to thank my family for their constant love and support, and for letting me have time to play. LEA ELLINGWOOD (Assistant Producer) is excited to have this opportunity to be back again after having most recently assisted with sound operation on ARE YOU BEING SERVED? You may have seen her recently on stage playing the role of Charlie in ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID. Prior to that she worked behind the scenes on OVER MY DEAD BODY as a first time soundboard operator. Lea has appeared previously as characters in both the ROSIE THE RIVETER and LIZZIE BORDEN productions here at Buck Creek. Lea enjoys being part of the Buck Creek theater family and is excited to return to help from the booth.

BEN JONES (Director/Lighting Designer/Soundboard Operator) is thrilled to return to the production side of Buck Creek Players and serve as director for THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL after having most recently directed LIZZIE BORDEN OF FALL RIVER this past fall. Ben was last seen on stage as Mr. Humphries in ARE YOU BEING SERVED? and Professor Baher in LITTLE WOMEN: THE MUSICAL. Some of his other favorite productions include: THE MATCHMAKER, MAKING GOD LAUGH, MASH, CLUE, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, and HELLO DOLLY. Ben serves on the Board of Directors for Buck Creek Players. He would like tot thank his family, cast, and amazing production team for helping bring this thriller to life.

FRANCIE MITCHANER (Assistant Director) is beyond excited to be working with the incredibly gifted and talented cast and crew of THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL! You're sure to find Francie somewhere around the theater either on or off stage; most recently on stage as JEAN in GOOD PEOPLE; and Producer for BCP's ARE YOU BEING SERVED? and THE GAME'S AFOOT. She also served as Producer for OVER MY DEAD BODY and Assistant Director and Stage Manager for the Buck Creek Players outdoor production of the LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW. Other roles she has played at BCP include Nancy/Ensemble in ROSIE THE RIVETER, Deputy Dot in CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAYS, and Magenta/Usherette in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW: THE BCP PLAY-A-PART FUNDRAISER. JILL STEWART (Music Director/Vocal Director) is excited to be back at Buck Creek Players for another show. She most notably music directed DISASTER, THE MUSICAL, BONNIE AND CLYDE, and ASSASSINS at BCP along with many others. When not at Buck Creek Players, Jill is usually seen at Footlite Musicals where she has music directed shows such as SOMETHING ROTTEN, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, and CRAZY FOR YOU. A Butler grad, Jill teaches piano and voice lessons as well as works as a pianist for UUI.

MATT TRGOVAC (Production Assistant) is excited to travel to Stark, Florida in BCP's final production of their 49th season! Matt made his Buck Creek Players debut as Reverend Jubb in the suspense thriller LIZZIE BORDEN OF FALL RIVER. Now he's administering his talents (get it, ministering?) as production assistant shining his light on Armadillo Acres and making sure there's no road kill on or off stage!
Most recently a director at Center Stage Community Theatre in Lebanon, Matt directed THE LARAMIE PROJECT (2019 Encore Judges Special Award Winner), DON'T DRINK THE WATER (2020), and VISITING MR. GREEN (2022). Matt's favorite roles include Jedadiah Shultz (THE LARAMIE PROJECT), Amos (THE RUNNER STUMBLES), and Curtis (THE TAMING OF THE SHREW). When not doing theatre Matt loves telling bad dad jokes, traveling, spending time with his cats Larry and Gary as well as his dog Mary. He wishes to thank his husband, Frank, and great friends and family for their continuing support. |
PARKER TAYLOR (Choreographer) is beyond thrilled to make his Buck Creek production team debut with this wild production! Parker has just come off the stage as the Frog Prince in GRIMM: A MIXED UP MUSICAL ADVENTURE at Hendricks Civic Theatre, as well as a Higbees Elf and featured dancer in A CHRISTMAS STORY at The Booth Tarkington. Prior to that he starred as Tobias Ragg in SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET at Footlite Musicals, and the lead male dancer in GREASE. He has been seen in numerous roles in his career such as La Cienega in BRING IT ON, Pugsley Addams in THE ADDAMS FAMILY and many others. Parker is attending IUPUI as a freshman this year to study Integrated Film and Television production, as well as minoring in theatre. Parker has just recently begun his journey choreographing for community theaters and high schools, starting off strong with Greenwood High Schools Godspell! He can't wait for you to see what this cast and team has put together!

KENDRELL STIFF (Choreographer) has been seen in GREASE (Johnny Casino) at Footlite Musicals, RENT (Angel Dumott Schunard) at The Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre and was a part of the cast of SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, at Footlite Musicals. He was most recently in GRIMM: A MIXED UP MUSICAL (The Bid Bad Wolf) at Hendricks Civic Theater, and has also helped choreograph GODSPELL at Greenwood High School. Kendrell is beyond excited to have been a part of this incredible production with this talented cast and hopes everyone has a great time watching the show.

MELISSA DEVITO (Properties) is back after having most recently directing ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID and playing Miranda Gould in OVER MY DEAD BODY. Mel has been very active with BCP, as a director, props, costumer, and Board of Directors member. Recently she directed FLY BABIES and ROSIE THE RIVETER, and costumed LITTLE WOMEN: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL with the help of Donna Jacobi and Cathy Cutshall. When not at the theater, Mel enjoys her job as a respiratory therapist at Home Respiratory Services, drag racing cars with her husband Rick, and hanging out with her family, especially her granddaughters Ellie and Blake. She also enjoys camping and snuggling with her pit bull Zoey.

SUZI BROWN (Light Board Operator/Stage Manager) Suzi is thrilled to join Buck Creek Players this season. Suzi has previously worked with BCP as a dialect coach for ARE YOU BEING SERVED? and is excited to continue working on other shows this coming season. Suzi is a teacher at Avon Middle School North and has been the co-director of theatre there for the past three years. Suzi also teaches acting classes at the Biz Academy of Musical Theatre and runs their productions at North as auditorium director, makeup designer, lighting operator, as well as many other aspects of theatre. Shows that Suzi has worked on recently include, THE LAST GLADIATOR, THE MUSIC MAN, MATILDA, JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH, and 42ND STREET. When not in a theatre, which is rare, Suzi enjoys cross-stitching, painting, and spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephew. She wants to thank Ben for introducing her to BCP and including her in his vision.

MARY MILLER (Stage Crew) is thrilled to be working backstage after having most recently performed as Vistoria McGuire in OVER MY DEAD BODY. After her debut as Mrs. Trinkler in The LEGEND of SLEEPY HOLLOW, she worked backstage for GOOD PEOPLE and LITTLE WOMEN: THE BROADWAY MUSCIAL. Mary got her Associate Degree in General Arts at Marian University. When she not doing theatre, Mary is either working as a production associate at Sock Religious, singing with her church choir or spending time with her family. Theatre has been a part of Mary’s life since she played Narrator #1 in INTO THE WOODS. She has been in theatre productions ever since, both in high school and college. Some of her favorite previous roles include Faye in SUBTEXT, Mrs. Hopkins in MY FAIR LADY, Fairy Godmother in FINAL DRESS REHEARSAL and Issachar in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. “I would like to thank my mom, my dad and for all my family and friends for their love and encouragement to embrace the theatre kid inside of me.”

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
BETSY KELSO has written and produced for WWE’s TV shows and pay-per-view events. She has also created and developed TV series for Warner Bros., ABC Family, MTV, Disney Channel and Universal Music Group. She wrote and directed the short film CHURCH & STATE starring Martin Starr, and wrote/performed for BEHIND THE MUSIC THAT SUCKS, an animated parody series that aired on FUSE Network in which she can be heard as the voices of Courtney Love, Jennifer Lopez, Cher and all three Dixie Chicks. She can also be seen in the first season of HANNAH MONTANA.
In addition to providing the book for THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL, Betsy served as Director of both the original NYMF and Off-Broadway productions. She adapted the British musicals GIRLS’ NIGHT and GIRL TALK for their U.S. tours and Off Broadway runs, and provided librettos for the new musical project POPERA and THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK CHRISTMAS MUSICAL, for which she also served as choreographer of the original Houston production. As a founding member of the popular all-female sketch-comedy team SHIRLEY CHICKENPANTS, she won praise from publications such as TALK, STUFF, PAPER, BUST, TIME OUT NEW YORK, PLAYBOY and THE VILLAGE VOICE, and played to sold-out crowds in New York and Los Angeles at HERE Arts Center, Joe’s Pub, HBO Workspace, ACME Comedy Theatre and others. She toured the United States with the comedy JUST FOR LAUGHS, A DAY WITH GATES & MILLS, starring Tim Conway and Tom Poston, and Europe with THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, for which she also assisted the Director and Choreographer in subsequent productions. Other shows in which Betsy performed include GRAND HOTEL, CITY OF ANGELS, MAN OF LA MANCHA, ANNIE, SUGAR BABIES and THE SOUND OF MUSIC. In the book world, Betsy is published alongside Andy Borowitz, Cynthia Heimel, Craig Bierko and many others in 101 Damnations: A Humorist’s Tour of Personal Hells. She is a member of the WGA-West. |

As a Musical Director, David has conducted and MD’d 50 productions at the Arvada Center For The Arts and Humanities in Colorado, winning 9 Henry Awards, 4 for Musical Direction (2008/2009/2013/2014) and 5 for Best Musical Production of the year (2007/2008/2009/2011/2013). He has also worked regionally as MD at such theaters as Denver Center, The Riverside Theatre, The Aurora Fox Theatre, AMT of San Jose, Theatre Aspen, ICA Boston, Theatreworks Hartford, Carousel Dinner Theatre-Akron OH. He has also acted as Musical Director/Composer/Arranger/ Musical Supervisor for CAROLS FOR A CURE, a holiday CD benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS for the years 1998-2005. An actor for 16 years, David has appeared in the National Tours of ME AND MY GIRL (Sir Jasper Tring), ZIEGFELD, A NIGHT AT THE FOLLIES (Eddie Cantor), CITY OF ANGELS (Sonny, The Gangster) and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Seymour). From 1996 to 2000 he toured with the European Tour of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW originating the role of Riff Raff. Regionally, David has been seen as Cosme McMoon in SOUVENIR, Tom Sawyer in BIG RIVER, Herod in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, George M. Cohan in GEORGE M! and The Top Banana in LITTLE RHODY'S BIG BURLESQUE opposite Gennifer Flowers. David was Vice President of the Historic Elitch Gardens Theatre Foundation (2014-16) to restore the 125 year old Elitch Theatre in Denver, CO. He has served as Co-Chairman of the Elitch Theatre New Works Festival 2015-16. David is also a member of BMI and is represented by RwB Management.
