Be transported to a magical, wonderful world in this new musical comedy that was the darling of the Tony Awards, winning the most statues in 2006. The hilarious show-within-a-show begins when an agoraphobic die-hard musical theater fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called “The Drowsy Chaperone” and the show magically bursts to life around him in his apartment.  Audiences are instantly immersed in the rambunctious tale of a Broadway starlet and her uproarious wedding day, which includes mistaken identities, dream sequences, gangsters, and, of course, the "Drowsy" (i.e., tipsy) Chaperone! A rare piece of unprecedented originality, The Drowsy Chaperone boldly addresses a great unspoken desire in all of our hearts: to be entertained. If you've ever sat in a dark theatre and thought, "Dear Lord in Heaven, please let it be good," this is the show for you!
