Casey Adams
The Pirate King
Casey Adams is a passionate musician from Idaho Falls, Idaho. This past May, Casey just finished his B.M. in Choral Music Education at the University of Indianapolis. While music and teaching are passions for Casey, this is his first show at Buck Creek and only his third full-length production he has been part of. His previous roles included Michael from Tick! Tick! Boom! And Benjamin Pontipee from 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. He would like to thank the cast and crew of this production for making it such a fun time! Casey also has a cat named Eddie Grieg - whom he loves and adores.
Shederick Whipple

Shederick Whipple, tenor, has performed throughout the United States, Europe and South America. In opera, he has performed Tamino in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), Frederic in Pirates of Penzance (Gilbert and Sullivan), Ferrando in Così fan Tutte (Mozart), and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini) among others. Some performing venues that he has performed as soloist include: Indianapolis Opera, Teatro Sucre (in Cuenca, Ecuador), Kokomo Symphony, Columbus Indiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Da Corneto Opera, Capitol Opera, Marion Philharmonic Orchestra, Lexington Opera Theatre, Huntington Orchestra, Library of Fine Arts (in Moscow, Russia), Lexington Chamber Chorale, Opera of Central Kentucky, Dr. Whipple is the Senior Development Officer and Associate Chorus Director for the Indianapolis Opera. Also, he is the Music Director at Roberts Park United Methodist Church. Dr. Whipple has B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Music from Mercer University, cum laude, M.M. from the University of Kentucky, and Doctor of Musical Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Derek Sumpter

Derek is excited to be back on the Buck Creek stage (last seen in The Vultures) and is having a blast in this silly show. Other favorite credits include The Old Man in The Christmas Story play, a Bottle Dancer (Encore winning role) in Fiddler, and ensemble in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. When not on stage or building a set, Derek is an 8th grade math teacher at Mt. Vernon, and he enjoys spending time with his family - of which he wants to thank them for their support and understanding while he is away pretending to be someone else.
Lauren Laski

Lauren is excited to be in her first show at Buck Creek! Previous favorite roles include Fruma Sarah in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Footlite), Emma Goldman in RAGTIME (Footlite), and Lady Thiang in KING AND I (Hendricks Civic). She would like to thank Georgie for this opportunity to have so much fun with the rest of cast and staff. Love to family and friends near and far coming to see this production!

Yarr, this stalwart crewman is proud to be returnin' to the Buck Creek Planks after swaggerin' in our jigs Are You Being Served, The Rocky Horror Show, The Matchmaker, Oklahoma, and many more. Havin' also set sail to Center Stage to loot their production of Second Time Around. Scott Fleshood

Scott A. Fleshoood has had the pleasure of performing with the Old National Road Players, Indianapolis Civic Theatre, The Belfry, Footlite Musicals, Ball State University Opera, Buck Creek Players, Bard Fest, and as featured vocalist with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. Scott co-directed Riley Children's Theatre for two seasons. He is a past Encore Award Winner and Emmy © nominee, and has appeared in various commercials for radio and television. Scott is an Eagle Scout, former Co-Host of the PBS magazine television series, “Indiana Outdoors” and serves on the Board of Directors for Buck Creek Players.
Jamison Allen

Jamison Allen earned his B.A. in theatre from ISU in 1996 & has performed in professional, college, & community theatres throughout Indiana & Illinois. With over 60 productions on his resume, his favorite roles include George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life and John Proctor in The Crucible, and his favorite directorial credits include Oklahoma! and Bus Stop. In real life, Jamison performs in a courtroom. He started his own law firm, Loyalty Injury Law, for injured Hoosiers who need help but want a law firm with a reputation for integrity instead of clichédadvertising. Jamison hopes this show inspires you to audition or volunteer to help a local arts organization.
Gwen Burke

Gwen Burke is thrilled to make her BCP debut! This show completes the trifecta of her family’s favorite shows, as she previously appeared as Trixie (The Rocky Horror Show) and Mrs. Paroo (the Music Man). This Winter, Gwen will be directing SpongeBob Jr at the Anderson MainStage Theatre Youth Academy. Offstage, Gwen is a 5th grade teacher, an avid Red Sox Fan, and dog mom. Much love to Jo, who would probably love to never hear “tarantara” ever again.
Megan Curran

Megan is so excited to be returning to the stage after a very long hiatus. Previously performing in classical venues, Megan has loved musical theater for most of her life and is so excited to be in her first show here at Buck Creek Players! This is her first community theater production in the Indianapolis area. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Delilah Harris

This is Delilah's first show in Indiana, and they're very excited to have gotten to work with such a wonderful cast and crew on a show as fun as The Pirates of Penzance. While they haven't been in typical theatre here in Indy, Delilah has a history of scaring patrons at the Thirteenth Hour Haunted Attraction on the south side in the fall. Delilah will also be in the first ever stage performance of Applewhite at the Backlot Theater in Irvington in November.
James Mannon

James Mannon is a tenor with the Indianapolis Opera chorus, having performed in such comic operas as The Magic Flute, Barber of Seville, and The Elixir of Love. He has also sung with the chorus of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, in concert productions of Fidelio and the Messiah. This season he appears in La Traviata and will again perform in ICO's Messiah concert. He sings also as a member of the chancel choir of Roberts Park Church.
Daniel Draves

Daniel Draves is excited to be making his return to BCP after having last appearing as Lenny/Lino in “The Rink” in 2018. Some of Daniel’s favorite roles to date include Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd, Footlite Musicals), The D’Ysquith family (Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Footlite Musicals), Jamie (The Last Five Years, CCP), and Tateh (Ragtime, Footlite Musicals). When not performing Daniel works for Trane Technologies as the Great Lakes Region Service Agreement Manager and spends time with his son, Wesley. Daniel would like to thank everyone involved in this putting this production together, and hopes that everyone enjoys this timeless show.
Devyn Kerr

Devyn Kerr is a rising coloratura soprano from Indiana, cultivating joy through performance and education. She holds a Master in Music from the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin College where she now holds the position of Lecturer of Music teaching voice. Devyn has performed as the lead role of Jenny in Longy's production of Ned Rorem's “Three Sisters who are not Sisters.” She has also appeared as La Fée in Longy's production of Massenet's “Cendrillon” as well as in the chorus of Rachel Portman's The Little Prince, also produced by Longy. For over 5 years, Devyn has taught many students of varying ages, experiences, and genres. Besides Franklin College, she also teaches voice and piano at Bach to Rock in Zionsville, and maintains a private studio of both professional and young developing artists. Outside of the voice studio, Devyn is an avid lifter and loves to play guitar and bass for her band “Draw 4.” She loves coffee, reading, baking, and spending time with her cat, Momo. She would like to thank her wonderful boyfriend, Brayden, for cooking dinner almost every night for the past 3 months through late rehearsals and busy work days!

Christine is happy to be performing at Buck Creek for the first time. A veteran performer in the Indy theatre scene, you may have seen her recently in "The Secret Garden" as Rose, "Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike" as Masha, "Bye Bye Birdie" as Rosie, "Romeo and Juliet" as Lady Capulet or singing with the Hendricks Symphony Chorus. She is ever grateful to Steve for his patience with her busy schedule!
Jennifer J. Kaufmann

Jennifer J. Kaufmann is excited to be back at Buck Creek, where she serves on the board. Jennifer graduated from Hope College, Holland, MI, in 2001 with a BA in Musical Theatre. She spent the next 5 years working with different theatre companies across the country, including Missoula Children’s Theatre and The Kentucky Shakespeare Festival. Jennifer had the privilege of teaching theatre to children all over the country as well as in Cuba, South Korea, and Japan. Moving to Indianapolis to attend graduate school at Marian University, Jennifer is currently working as a Middle School virtual teacher with MSD Warren. Nancy Laudeman is excited to return to the BCP stage where she has previously appeared in The Savannah Sipping Society (MarlaFaye); Christmas Cabaret; Bell, Book, and Candle (Aunt Queenie); and Always a Bridesmaid (Sedalia). Other credits include La Cage Aux Folles (Madame Renaud), Sister Act (Sr. Mary Patrick), Assassins, Nunsense (Sr. Mary Amnesia), Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife), A Little Night Music (Charlotte), and The King & I (Anna). She would like to thank her husband, Rich, for his support and understanding.
Jaimie Mosier

Jaimie graduated from Anderson University in 2015 with a B.A. in Music Business and has since performed with and directed productions at theaters throughout the Indianapolis area. She also enjoys teaching private voice lessons. Memorable roles include Grace in Annie and Jane in Tarzan. Samantha is grateful for the love and support of her husband, Ben, and their two children, Samuel and Zion, who cheer her on every step of the way.

Lily Mosier is very excited to be part of Pirates of Penzance, a favorite musical from her childhood, coming out of a 20 year theatre retirement to take part in it! Lily loves God and all forms of laughter and creativity and spends her time camper van traveling and gaming with her 2 beautiful daughters and amazing husband. She would like to thank her family for all the support they have given her, especially her girls and her soulmate happily practicing all the songs with her! She would also like to shout out to all the talented friends she made, her lovely director, Miss Georgie, and all the crew! Enjoy the show!

Michaela serves as a Director of Regional Partnerships at The Boaz Project, a local non-profit. She is passionate about child advocacy, sustainable practices, and, of course, tea. She enjoys exploring Downtown Indy, weekends with her besties, traveling, board games, and the gluten-free chocolate chip cookies at Insomnia. Michaela has previously performed in shows such as Cinderella, Into the Woods, Bright Star, Anastasia, Music Man, and, most recently, as Widow Corney in Oliver at Creative Grounds Fine Arts Academy, as well as backstage work at Taylor University. She is thrilled to be making her Buck Creek debut.
Alana Tragesser

Alana Tragesser is ecstatic to be on the stage at Buck Creek for the first time! Alana is a student of Music Therapy, and has always loved to jam at home with both classic and new musicals. Her most formative music experiences have been with her church and Christian community, the Indianapolis Children's Choir, Carmel High School's Phantom of the Opera, and a Sound Ecologies premier. Alana is eternally grateful for the opportunities and learning she has been given. This show is the highlight of her summer and she thanks her family, friends, and colleagues for their support and love!

Georgeanna Teipen is so proud to be the director of this show and hopes you truly find it enjoyable, inspiring and uplifting. Georgie, as her friends call her, is typically seen onstage around the Indianapolis community but feels very blessed to be able to expand her involvement in her favorite extracurricular activity. Georgie is also the President and member of the Board of Buck Creek Players. In her professional life, Georgie serves the citizens of the State of Indiana as a Deputy Attorney General in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of The Office of the Indiana Attorney General.
