Buck Creek Playhouse will hold open auditions for THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL with book by Betsy Kelso, Music and Lyrics by David Nehls, on Monday and Tuesday, February 13 & 14, 2023, at 7 p.m. at the playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue.
Director Ben Jones IS looking for a diverse group of 5 women and 2 men. All roles are available.
AUDITION PREPARATION
Bring resume and headshot, if available.
Please prepare a verse and chorus of a song showing your vocal range. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.
You may be asked to read from the script or sing from the score.
THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL is scheduled for nine performances for three weekends, June 2, 2023 – June 18, 2023.
Please bring a list of all conflicts from April 1, 2023, through June 18, 2023.
Rehearsals are tentatively set to begin in mid-April 2023.

Mezzo-Soprano/Belt
She is the manager at Armadillo Acres, She, Lin, and Pickles help tell the story while sharing glimpses into their lives. Excellent comedic timing needed.
Lin
Female, age 30's - 60's
Mezzo-Soprano/Belt
Likes to come across as edgy & aggressive. She's married to someone on death row and monitors everyone's electricity usage. Excellent comedic timing needed.
Pickles
Female, age 17 - 25
Mezzo-Soprano/Belt
Comically dense. She might or might not be pregnant. She also pretends to be Tina, Pippi's friend from back home. Excellent comedic timing needed.
Jeanie
Female, Age 40's - 50's
Mezzo-Soprano
Married to Norbert. She has met with a tragedy and has become agoraphobic.

Male, age 40's - 50's
Baritone
Married to Jeannie. He is a toll collector with marital issues that meets a stripper, Pippi, in a chance encounter and creates a dilemma that has the whole trailer park involved.
Pippi
Female, Age 20's - 40's
Mezzo-Soprano/High Rock Belt
Comes to town looking for a new beginning, but things aren't working out as planned. She works at the Litter Box Show Palace and finds herself troubled in her new life as trouble from her past is catching up. Dances in a strip club during the show. NO nudity!

The ex-boyfriend of Pippi from Oklahoma that's very high strung and out to get her back. Excellent actor needed.
