OPEN AUDITIONS

Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17, 2022
Auditions start at 7 p.m.
Produced by GLORIA BRAY
Directed by BEN JONES
Buck Creek Playhouse will hold open auditions for LIZZIE BORDEN OF FALL RIVER by Tim Kelly, on Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17, 2022, at 7 p.m. at the playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue. Director Ben Jones is seeking a diverse group of nine women, ages 15 - 60s, and six men, ages 20s - 60s. A diverse cast is desired and all roles are available.
The Lizzie Borden case is without parallel in the criminal history of America. It divided public opinion as no murder trial had ever done. Did the strong-willed, intelligent Lizzie dispatch her father and stepmother with an axe one fateful August morning, or was she the innocent victim of circumstance? Why was the evidence that would help prove Lizzie innocent withheld? Who is lying and who is telling the truth? Why do so many rush to her defense and so many others want her punished? This combination of drama, mystery, suspense-thriller will keep you guessing right up to the final scene.
