CLANCE LaTURNER (Emcee) is delighted to return to the Buck Creek stage, having been in several Play-a-Parts (as Ike Skidmore in OKLAHOMA!, July in ANNIE and Frau Schmidt in THE SOUND OF MUSIC). And who could forget her turn as Darla, the fertilizer salesman and theatre critic in BARBEQUING HAMLET? Behind the scenes, Clance has contributed to multiple BCP productions, including stage managing LITTLE WOMEN THE MUSICAL and directing THE LITTLE TOWN OF CHRISTMAS. Outside of BCP, she’s brought her talents to the Candlelight Theater at the President Benjamin Harrison Home and Oaklandon Civic Theatre as actor and director. Clance’s acting chops began with various church drama ministries across Indiana. She co-founded ACTS OF FAITH at Bethel Temple in Evansville in the ’70s and created ONE, a traveling music/drama group out of Terre Haute in the ’80s. She served as Drama Director for Christ Community Church in Greenwood. Driven by deep curiosity, Clance is constantly learning through her work in voiceovers, video production, and manuscript editing. She intentionally invests her life in people and especially enjoys sharing camaraderie with folks over a meal (breakfast, anyone?). As a chaplain who officiates weddings and funerals, Clance is incredibly thankful to God for His intimate grace, mercy, and love that guides her life. She’s thankful, too, for her husband, Jon, who generously allows her to live the life to which she feels called. Their felines Cricket, Dutchess, and Raven bring them endless joy and entertainment. It means so much to my heart that you would share your time with us today – I trust you will enjoy the show!
