Buck Creek Playhouse will hold open auditions for BONNIE & CLYDE, a new musical by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, Civil War, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Don Black, and Ivan Menchell, on Monday and Tuesday, January 30 and 31, 2017, at 7 p.m. at the playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue. Director D. Scott Robinson and Vocal Director Steven R. Linville are looking for a diverse group of 10 men, 9 women, 1 boy (age 8-12) and 1 girl (age 8-12) . All roles are available.
- Everyone auditioning should prepare 16-32 bars of a prepared song. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.
- You may be asked to read from the script or to sing from the score.
- BONNIE & CLYDE is scheduled for nine performances, weekends June 9-25, 2017. Please bring a list of all conflicts from April 2017 through June 2017. Rehearsals are tentatively set to begin in early April 2017.

Female, 18 to 25. A beautiful girl torn between love and fame. Clyde's ambitious, stubborn lover. (Vocal range: G3 to F5)
MARVIN "BUCK" BARROW
Male, 25 to 35. Clyde's brother and an outlaw troubled by his wife's distaste for his lifestyle. Adventurous and loyal. (Vocal range: B2 to G4)
Female, 25 to 35. A religious woman who disapproves of the criminal lifestyle. Honorable and righteous. Married to Buck Barrow. (Vocal range: G3 to Eb5)
Female, 40 to 55. A kind woman among those suffering in the Depression. Loyal and selfless. Mother to Clyde and Buck.
Male, 18-30. A police officer struggling to separate his feelings from his duties. Kind and honest. Madly in love with Bonnie. (Vocal range: C3 to A4)
Female, 40 to 55. Bonnie's widowed mother. Fragile, caring, sensitive.
Male, 45-65. The town's evangelist. Loud, passionate, boisterous. (Vocal range: A2 to C5)
Male, 45 to 55. A hard-working man, struggling to survive. Humble and quiet. Father of Clyde and Buck.
GOVERNOR MIRIAM FERGUSON
Female, 40 to 60. An enforcer of the law and Governor of Texas. Tough and harsh.
CAPTAIN FRANK HAMER
Male, 45 to 65. A retired Texas Ranger who joins the hunt for Bonnie and Clyde. Recruited by Governor Ferguson.
DETECTIVE BOB ALCORN
Male, 30 to 45. The best sharpshooter in Texas. Recruited by Frank Hamer, he helps hunt down Bonnie and Clyde.
