Buck Creek Playhouse will hold open auditions for the Indianapolis premiere of AFTER THE FAIR, a romantic chamber musical by Stephen Cole (book and lyrics) and Matthew Ward (music), on Monday and Tuesday, October 1 and 2, 2018, at 7 p.m. at the playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue. Director D. Scott Robinson and Vocal Director Linda Parr are looking for two men and two women for this production. All roles are available.
AUDITION PREPARATION
What happens when a married Victorian British woman writes letters for her illiterate maid and falls in love with the man to whom she is writing? A romantic, literate musicalization of Thomas Hardy's short story, On the Western Circuit, this award-winning four-character musical has played Off-Broadway, London, and various cities throughout the USA.

AUDITION PREPARATION
- Please be prepared to sing 16-32 measures of a Broadway song. Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. No a capella auditions or recorded music, please.
- Some auditioners may be asked to read from the script or to sing from the score.
- AFTER THE FAIR is scheduled for nine performances, weekends January 25-February 10, 2019. Please bring a list of all conflicts from October 2018 through early February 2019.
