Buck Creek Playhouse and Co-Directors Georgeanna Teipen and Tiffany Wilson are thrilled to announce auditions for A CHRISTMAS CABARET to take place on September 8 and 9, 2024, from 6:30-8:30pm each evening at the Buck Creek Playhouse located at 11150 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46259.
There are no callbacks scheduled at this time. If necessary, those auditioning will be notified as soon as possible.
The directors are looking for 5-10 singers to perform a variety of Christmas songs all contained in the public domain of music. We are also looking for an emcee to introduce the singers, their songs and give some entertaining, educational information to enhance the theme of the show.
This will be an incredibly unique, heartfelt, holiday show performed in Cabaret style with the audience seated on the stage. The directors are both extremely excited to bring their vision to life and welcome anyone interested to come out and join us for this unique entertainment experience!!!!
AUDITION PREPARATION
Bring resume and headshot, if available.
Those interested in auditioning are asked to perform a verse and/or refrain from a Christmas carol
of their choice from the public domain.
An accompanist will be provided, or a recording may be used, whichever is preferred by the auditioner.
Video auditions will also be accepted and can be sent to [email protected] by September 7th.
Those auditioning for the emcee will also be asked to read from some pre-selected material.
We would like to get the show cast by September 12th.
The rehearsal process will be fairly limited, and we will schedule according to everyone’s individual availability.
We will not be rehearsing the week of Thanksgiving but may have a brush up rehearsal the weekend before Thanksgiving.
A CHRISTMANS CABARET is scheduled for eight performances over two weekends, November 29, 2024 - December 8, 2024
